Celebrate People is a multi-belief organisation based on humanist values. We conduct ceremonies as well as providing support and counselling. Our highly trained and experienced celebrants represent our humanist values of love, kindness, equality, compassion, inclusion and respect. We believe that you two are central and will support you to make sure that your ceremony reflects and expresses what is important to you, your lives, your culture.
We can provide excellent Spanish, French and Italian speaking celebrants to make sure everyone is included.
We simply want you to feel cared for and supported to express your love and commitment in the way that means most to you in that special moment. You may celebrate with family and friends or run away just the two of you. Whatever you choose we are there to help you have your perfect ceremony.
We are there for you from the moment you start to think about what you want for your ceremony all the way through to you leaving for the rest of your celebrations. For most that includes making sure all the legal details are taken care of in the right way and in the right place. If you need guidance on what to include on your ceremony, we are there with many ideas and support to help you choose the best words and elements for you both.
All of our celebrants are brilliant at listening and helping as little or as much as you need them to put what is you want to say into words. For some couples this is easy, others less so. Wherever you fall on that scale we will support you in your ceremony development in preparation for the main event. Symbols and customs can strengthen what you want to say and all of us can include handfasting, drinking from the quaich, sand ceremony and many more.

We feel incredibly lucky to have been married by Mo Waterston in July this year. From our very first conversation, I knew she was the perfect match for us.
Mo’s kindness, sense of humour, and thoughtful nature made our ceremony the most memorable part of our day. She truly invested in us as a couple, and throughout the preparation she was patient, offered wonderful suggestions and helped us weave in traditions we both felt were important to us. On the day she was such a calming presence, and was able to read me like a book, giving me the best advice at the moment I needed it the most!
Our ceremony exceeded all our expectations, filled with personal, heartfelt, and humorous moments from start to finish. There were tears and laughter, and Mo’s warmth helped keep us grounded throughout. We have had so many comments from families and friends at how special and personable our ceremony was, and would recommend her to anyone. She is amazing at what she does, and we will always hold a very warm place in our heart for Mo.

Angus Farquhar was(/is) incredible. He is a long-time family friend who we had seen in action at Dai and Jackie’s wedding – see their review here also – and seeing the way he celebrated their love and and connection to each other – and to those present – was an inspiration.
On our wedding day, the beautiful words and poetry which he shared during our ceremony – and the way in which he held the space for us, our stories and our commitments to each other – truly helped to cast a spell over everyone as the magic of the day took hold.
Angus’ calming energy, laced with heart and humour, was exactly the vibe we needed to feel grounded – especially so the day prior when nerves were high, as we went through the rehearsal. Where do I even start, Aileen was our winner from our very first contact with her. She was highly recommended from a couple we know so after a few messages we had a video call with Aileen and I knew straight away she was our person. Made us feel very relaxed as she is so down to earth, her interpersonal skills are outstanding!
After our meetings and discussions with Aileen she sent over the ceremony she had written up for us and it was perfect! We individually sent over things we love about each other to Aileen and these were added to our vows, which was a wonderful little surprise when we got married.
The ceremony was beautiful, and all my friends and family commented on how it fab it was, the best wedding ceremony they had experienced as it was so personal with some laughs thrown in as well, which made it really light hearted. At the end of our ceremony we tied the knot formally with hand fasting from both family tartans and this was flawless thanks to Aileen.
My husband was really nervous about the vows and he can’t thank Aileen enough for making him feel calm and at ease.She honestly is such a marvellous celebrant, with her kindness, friendliness and banter you really can’t go wrong. Highly recommend Aileen xx

Sharon Campbell was recommended to us by a friend, and when me and my now husband first met her to discuss things we knew she was the perfect celebrant for our wedding. She just exudes warmth, charm and goodwill (as well as plenty of glamour!). We only had a vague idea of what our ceremony was to be and she worked with us to make something special that we were both happy with, as well as explaining all the tricky paperwork stuff. Following her guidance we worked out a script of our story to read out for the big day.
Then came the ceremony. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The way she read our story was so heartfelt. Absolutely fantastic. We opted to do a hand fasting ceremony and it went down a treat, everybody loved it! It was just so perfect.
All through the night our guests kept coming up to us to say how fantastic Sharon was, and how it was the best wedding ceremony they’ve been to. We really could not recommend her any more highly.

Gerrie married me and my partner Olivia on 15 June 2024. Gerrie has been a joy to work with from the very beginning – soon after I filled out the inquiry form on her website, she gave me a ring asking if I had time for a “wee chat” and then we had a very lovely conversation for nearly an hour – and I normally hate talking to people on the phone! I immediately knew Gerrie was the right celebrant for us.
Gerrie helped us put together a unique ceremony full of personal meaning and made the whole process very simple. I’m nonbinary and Gerrie was very excited for me that I got to select bridegroom as my designation instead of bride. As a queer couple, we both felt very understood and embraced by Gerrie. The day before our wedding, we invited Gerrie to the Airbnb house where we were staying with our guests for a barbecue, and when it turned out none of us actually really knew how to barbecue, Gerrie saved us all with her incredible barbecue skills – all our guests adored her and we were extremely grateful!
On the day of the ceremony we were all swarmed by midges but Gerrie was completely unfazed and conducted the ceremony beautifully and with her usual wonderful charm, competence and calm manner. Even despite the midges, it was perfect and everything we could have ever wished for. Gerrie was just the absolute best celebrant – inclusive, warm, and wholeheartedly supportive. Mo Waterston recently married in Luss at Lodge on Loch Lomond. She was recommended highly by a work colleague and she did not disappoint. She was amazing from start to finish, she talked us through the process both in person and over video chats. She tailored our wedding to what we wanted, happy to make suggestions and very much encouraged our participation. She is excellent at what she does, she is positive and truly happy to be involved, even looked ready to shed a few tears herself during our vows. We had a genuine connection with her and would recommend her to anyone. She even ended up being the dog sitter whilst our photos were taken (above and beyond indeed). When Ray and I decided to get married within 6 months we didn’t have much time to organise. We attended a wedding fair with plans to meet and hopefully book a celebrant (not Aileen) who had been recommended to us. When we arrived there were 3 Humanist Societies there, we spoke with Aileen first and knew from those first introductions that she was who we wanted to marry us. Aileen’s focus was not about dates, prices, or venue’s etc, instead her focus was on us and what we wanted, how we would like the ceremony, a personal ritual and our vows which would mean so much to us. To our delight Aileen was available and we booked her that day. From then Aileen kept in touch, meeting us over a cuppa to learn a little more about us which would be the basis for our ceremony, she even managed to persuade us to write and say our own personal vows to each other. We cant thank Aileen enough for her patience when writing our ceremony as it was tweaked a few times. Our day arrived and Aileen’s friendly and calm demeanour helped relax us both, she spoke to us beforehand providing reassurance that everything was in place, our guests were waiting and all would be fine. Our ceremony was just perfect with many smiles, laughs and although nervous we both said our vows to each other which brought a few tears. Our day would not have been as special and memorable as it was without Aileen, she is professional, meticulous, warm and friendly. After our wedding our tears of joy came again when opening our wedding cards and opened cards which contained the personal vows we read, a beautiful copy of our ceremony and a lovely card. Tim McGuire married us at Rosebery Steading. Tim was extremely friendly and approachable from the first meeting we had with him, in the lead up to the wedding he was very helpful in guiding us on how the process works, sharing ceremony ideas and prompting us on the relevant formalities on registering etc.

Angela married us in the beautiful Dunblane on Saturday 25th March 2023. From initial contact, catch up meetings, through to the big day itself, Angela was simply wonderful and was a massive part of why our day was so special. Angela went the extra mile to find out as much personal information about us as possible and wrote the most magical ceremony littered with care, love and best of all, humour.
All attendees were raving about the ceremony afterwards with many going as far as to say it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to, high praise indeed. Such a lovely, compassionate human being, easy to get on with, and a genuine care for the people she is marrying, all done with a smile on her face.

From the moment we met Gerrie we knew that we wanted her to be part of our day. We had both met Gerrie at the Wedding Fair in Slogans not long after we had got engaged. We spoke with Gerrie and instantly clicked. This was our first experience of stepping into the wedding world and getting an idea of what was the right fit for us. With most things, we had some discussion with regards to what was right for us, however we both immediately knew that Gerrie was the Celebrant for us. There was no question about it. Gerrie made us feel at ease from the second we had spoken with her, it was obvious the wealth of knowledge and experience Gerrie had with her background in the Wedding field.
We had plenty of chats & meetings with Gerrie which all felt so comfortable and as though we had known each other for years. Everything we wished to incorporate on our day Gerrie was fully supportive and allowed us to have the freedom to make the day our own. We always felt as though we could speak openly and honestly with Gerrie and explain our worries regarding anything Wedding related. Gerrie was a great source of information and reassurance for us to speak outloud about anything we were not sure of.
Gerrie quickly got to know us and knew the type of ceremony we both were looking for. Which allowed us to feel completely at ease knowing there wouldn’t be any pressures to be “conforming” to any wedding norms that may have been out there. The day was completely our own and Gerrie enabled that to happen from the moment we had met her.
From the minute we had confirmed Gerrie was available and able to share our day with us we had many compliments from our current suppliers, all speaking highly of Gerrie and complimenting how we had made a great choice! This only further assured we had made the right choice. Gerrie ensured that every part of the ceremony went flawlessly, from the moment the Groom had arrived to the moment we both walked down the aisle after. Gerrie also made sure after the ceremony that we were both happy and gave us lovely advice & well wishes for the future.
We felt as though we had a reliable source to fall back on throughout our wedding planning, as well as the wedding day. We were provided with many difference sources and options from Gerrie to allow us to have a starting point for our planning, which really helped as we were not sure where to even begin at times. These were all altered to be our own and personal to use, but were a huge starting point and gave us the reassurance we were on the right path to putting our ceremony together. We had multiple conversations with Gerrie to ensure that all 3 of us were on the same page & we all knew exactly how the ceremony would go.
We would highly recommend Gerrie & celebrate people to anyone who is looking for someone to take part in their wedding day/celebrations. We have never felt more comfortable and happy working with someone for such a big event in our lives!

Mo was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. She was able to accommodate our busy schedule for meetings leading up to the big day and we had online and an in person meeting. Gerrie was absolutely outstanding as our celebrant for our Ayrshire wedding in August. She coordinated a lovely ceremony that was truly personal to us. She gave us complete freedom about what we included in the ceremony and in what order – making recommendations when we asked.
She was also very well organised, we had a zoom meeting several months prior and then had to fill a comprensive form which allowed her to tailor the ceremony to our personalities and needs. A quick rehersal the day before and everything was clear! She was early on the day and her relaxing nature meant we could relax on the day as well. Angus was an excellent celebrant. He guided us giving us ideas and suggestions during the preparation process, and he was very friendly and easy to chat to, and it felt like of we knew him already. We were a bit overwhelmed planning so much for the wedding in a short length of time, and Angus helped us making this part of the process much easier.
He also speaks Italian which helped in order
to translate some sections to help our Italian relatives to follow the ceremony.During the ceremony Angus was excellent, very proactive making sure he would coordinate with the musicians.
He brought a very lively and friendly energy to the ceremony, and his way of speaking is very engaging. We also felt very comfortable bringing our way of spirituality, and Angus was very open minded about our way of celebrating our ritual. He also brought a beautiful Celtic poem and blessings that gave a nice Scottish touch which is what we wanted as our families came from abroad to celebrate.

I saw Angus in Action at a friend’s wedding – see Doris’ review – and was inspired by the humanist approach and the way it was delivered. Angus led us through the preparations and his guidance, patience and humour allowed us to prepare a very personal, meaningful and uplifting mix of words, poems and music.
Jackie and I are in the second flush of youth – we’ve been together for over 15 years so the usual trappings and excesses mean little to us. We couldn’t have wished for more. Money cannot buy the love that filled the room that day.
I overheard a group of people talking about the evening and all were inspired to the extent they wnted to renew their vows in a humanist ceremony.

Angus was recommended to us through a friend, he was the celebrant at her sisters wedding and there were nothing but positive things to be said. Leading up to the wedding and for the big day itself we can see exactly why this was and can add on ourselves now nothing but good words!
We wanted a personal humanist ceremony, something unique to us and that gave a story as to why we had chose this and what everything that was going into the wedding meant to us. Tim = best celebrant EVER!!
We booked Tim almost 2 years ahead of our wedding and from literally our first email enquiry to saying ‘I do’ we felt so at ease.
We felt slightly overwhelmed at first at writing our own ceremony at first but it genuinely was one of the best things we have done together as a couple and Tim was always on hand via email to answer any of our questions when we were unsure of anything!
Even down to the actual wedding day itself; Tim came out to meet myself, my dad and my bridesmaids and just calmly explained the final few steps because, believe it or not, after 2 and a half years of planning a wedding, your brain goes to actual MUSH when you’re about to walk down that aisle!! But Tim was there, calmly giving us all the final brief on everything before we all walked down the aisle. Then, during the ceremony, hearing Tim read our the ‘Story of Us’ is something we will never ever forget, he just animated it so well and just brought it to life to our wedding party.
Literally everyone in our wedding party couldn’t stop saying how much they enjoyed Tim’s delivery and how much they enjoyed the ceremony as a whole!
We couldn’t recommend Tim enough, go book him and have an epic wedding day like ours! 🙂

My husband and I absolutely loved having Tim as our celebrant for our wedding at Carlowrie Castle in May 2023. From the first meeting, Tim was kind, funny and reassuring – he understood exactly what we wanted for our ceremony.
Tim helped us create the perfect ceremony for us, sharing lots of examples from other couples and the most fun homework we’ve ever been given! The whole process was super easy but also made us reflect on the reasons why we were getting married, which was really nice amidst the stressful moments of planning a wedding.
The ceremony we created with Tim turned out to be so personal to us and our guests actually enjoyed it! So many of our friends and family commented that it was the best ceremony they had ever been part of and they particularly loved our personalised vows and hearing the story of how we met.
Tim also gave us lots of helpful info and guidance, such as how to get our marriage certificate in preparation for the wedding and what to do afterwards. This seems like a small thing but it made a big difference!
We could go on and on but honestly we can’t recommend Tim highly enough!

The wonderful Maureen (Mo) married us in July this year and she was absolutely amazing! She made it personal to us and not just the bog standard same old traditional weddings everyone has. She made our wedding day UNIQUE .
Our ceremony was very family orientated, and it was a joining of families not just 2 people, she was able to do this by involving everyone.
Aileen felt like family by the end of our organising, it felt like it was an auntie that was marrying us and not a celebrant the we had met a few months before, and that meant the world to us.
Aileen introduced herself to the catering staff and helped them with the timings of the day, to make it go smoothly, she helped to welcome the guests, arrange the signing table and made sure everything was in place and that there were no hiccups.
All the guests commented on what a beautiful ceremony it was and how spot on Aileen had captured us as people, and how she was such a lovely, caring, and funny lady.
I look back at our wedding pictures and all I see is a Family coming together to celebrate love and happiness, and Aileen made this happen.We can’t thank Aileen enough for making our day the best day ever.

We got married in April 2023, at the University of Glasgow Chapel, with Susan as our celebrant. From our first meeting with Susan, we knew we had found someone who would make our ceremony the one we had always dreamed of. Susan was also incredibly accommodating with access requirements for our ceremony, providing scripts in advance so we could share with a BSL interpreter we had hired for our D/deaf guests.

We were married by Maureen Waterson in May 2023. Mo was absolutely great on the run up to the big day with meetings and emails on how exactly we wanted the day to be. She was keen to understand the atmosphere we wanted for the day and came up with suggestions that really did make the difference for the ceremony.
On the day of the wedding she then stepped up to “Legend” status ! We had a bit of a document disaster, everyone’s worst nightmare (including Mo’s !). Mo remained cool and calm throughout and somehow managed to sort out the chaos so the wedding could go ahead. She went above and beyond on the day and the biggest credit was that most guests enjoyed Mo’s amazing ceremony blissfully unaware of the stress that had come before.

Tim Maguire at Celebrate People was excellent. He helped us create a very special day – with a truly customised ceremony. First of all, Tim was professional, organised and helpful. We knew what to do and when. Second he guided us with his own formula – we had our ‘Love Work’ – and then our ‘date night’ – and then he provided us with the inspiration to create – like writing a play. This meant we had a ceremony which was 100% built around us both. It had the right mix of humour, solemnity and warmth. We were able to involve our five children (we are both second time rounders) and everyone commented how sincere and enjoyable the ceremony was. We are a couple of French lovers, and had the pleasure of renewing our vows in the magnificent valley of Glencoe, under a magnificent sun! It is a privileged moment, which we shared with our grown-up children. If our ceremony was so rich in emotions and will remain in our memories as one of the happiest events of our lives, it is because the chance of our research led us to Tim Maguire. Our many exchanges (in French, our English is very bad), his precious advice and his proposal of “homework of love” contributed to the success of our day. The “duties of love” are an excellent basis for writing our vows” and are a real gift for a couple who have already gone through many years together. They give the opportunity to take the time to reflect on our love, and to talk to each other with an open heart. What will we remember from our renewal of wedding vows? Lots of laughs, unique moments shared with our children and some friends, beautiful encounters (Tim and Rich for the bagpipes), a few tears of joy, and irreplaceable memories. Thank you Tim, it was a pleasure to meet you and thank you for the delicate attention to have a tree planted for this occasion. We fell in love with Scotland, and we are happy to leave a useful trace of our passage there.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with our celebrant, Tim Maguire for our elopement in Scotland. As American citizens, there were additional steps and paperwork for us to complete prior to our ceremony in order for it to be recognized legally. Tim’s guidance over Zoom and emails were very much appreciated over the months of planning we had. We especially enjoyed Tim’s easy going personality and charming sense of humor! The lovework he had us complete was very helpful in the writing of our vows and it was such a sweet, romantic treat to share with eachother leading up to our day. Speaking of our day, Tim made everything so easy for us by connecting with our photographer to confirm last minute logistics. Funny enough, Dustin and I really didn’t know the exact location of our elopement up until the time we got there- Tim and our photographer picked the nicest spot in the area for us and it was perfect! Afterwards, Tim even sent a note saying he donated a tree in our name for charity which was such a nice gesture. Thanks Tim and our witness Susie for being a part of this day we will never forget!

From the moment we got in contact with her, she made us feel comfortable and at ease and was very communicative during the entire process. Gerrie married my husband and I at The Clachan Inn, St John’s Town of Dalry in early December. Gerrie was amazing from the very moment we first made contact, she was so patient, understanding and ensured we got the personal wedding service we really wanted.
Gerrie even managed to get the very young children involved by getting them to give everyone a twirl of their beautiful outfits.
We wanted the service to reflect our personalities and Gerrie ensured it did exactly that with everyone laughing loudly at various points.

We had Leigh Ferguson look after us from start to finish, guiding us from initial ideas of a ceremony through to something that would fully encompass our Scottish and Jewish heritages. She also helped us on the practical side, as we were getting married on the island that she lives on and she went out of her way to advise us of potential issues with the ferry services and supported our plan B should we not be able to get off the mainland for the ceremony. On the day we did manage to get to the island of Cumbrae and we sheltered in a pub opposite our marriage location with Leigh acting as a lookout for the break in the weather that would allow us to go and fulful the ceremony on the rock. Even with a gale blowing Leigh carried out our ceremony with appropriate dignity humour and candour and we cannot think of anyone better who would support our vision from start to finish and ensured that the day was all we planned and more.

I can’t believe how lucky we were to have Sharon Campbell as our wedding celebrant. From our initial Zoom conversation, I knew that she “got” us and understood what we wanted from the ceremony, and that followed all the way through to the day itself. We did the “homework” that she set us – writing our stories separately and then reading them to each other – which was a really special experience. We had to change humanists due to the pandemic but we’re very glad we did as Rhona was incredible! Working with Tim Maguire was so easy. From the first time we spoke (albeit via Zoom), he was so informative. Explaining all aspects of Humanism and the many ways that we can construct a Humanist ceremony. It really fits with our beliefs and were excited to start work on the project.
Tim’s email correspondence was so helpful to start us on our journey. They gave all the knowledge we needed as well as assistance along the way on when to do certain tasks and even example ceremonies that we could use for ideas.
When it came to the big day, Tim was such a calming influence, making sure nerves were ok and conducting the ceremony with humour and professionalism throughout.

Could not have have asked for anyone better. I first met Sharon when she did a lovely service for my mum’s funeral. I emailed her on the off-chance to see if she would have availability for my wedding, but by luck, she did.
From start to finish, Sharon was magnificently helpful. She walked us through the process and what we needed to do for legal purposes, and gave us our “love homework” to ensure that our ceremony was personal to us. We got married on the 20th August 2022, and Sharon was absolutely fantastic. We cant thank maureen “mo” enough for carrying out our wedding ceremony just how we always imagined, mo was incredibly down to earth lovely & most of all helpful from the moment we got in contact with her, we knew what we kind of wanted to say in our ceremony but we always found it hard to put it all into words and join it together, luckily mo absolutely did that for us, she was able to join the dots together perfectly and we were so pleased with how she had put what we were eager to say altogether and we were delighted with her efforts when we received the draft of ceremony! Thus, mo was so bubbly & welcoming to our guests she made our ceremony feel warm but personal to us, it was so special. Our guests loved the ceremony and complimented how great mo was when telling our story.

Mo Waterston was our celebrant on 5th August 2022 at the Eglinton Arms Hotel. The preparation work was done over various meeting using face time , txt and emails. This worked perfectly for myself and Ashleigh, we both have busy jobs and three children , so the flexibility and choice that Mo gave was perfect.
Mo’s personality and patience particularly for me , the groom was very welcome. I had a surprise for my daughters and when my worries and panic set in Mo was there to calm my nerves. She even sent a fantastic voice note the night before my wedding to reassure me that she would help make it work.

Both are the loveliest of people, compassionate, caring, clever and very funny. The ceremony was thoughtful, very personal and involved everyone in the room. It was exactly what we wanted . When our wedding plans got cancelled with the pandemic, we felt desperate to get married as soon as we could. We decided to reshape our ceremony and to contact a humanist celebrant. However, there was a catch, it had to be a celebrant capable of speaking in French and English.
Gerrie Douglas-Scott was recommended to us and it has been an amazing experience from the beginning. She was enthusiastic about any idea we had and she was willing to help us get married on the most iconic square of Glasgow during lockdown. She also accepted to be present both for our small lockdown ceremony but also for our big ceremony in 2022 for the price of one.

Tim Maguire was a brilliant celebrant for our wedding in June 2022. From the very beginning right through to the “I do’s” he put us at ease and helped us shape a very personal wedding ceremony. Tim gave us lots of suggestion and inspiration on how to craft a humanist ceremony, and then took on board our ideas and captured exactly the tone and style that we were after.
Most especially, this included conducting the ceremony in French and English, switching seamlessly between the two and making sure a large bi-lingual crowd was fully involved.

We were recommended Tim by a friend and he did not disappoint. Myself and my Husband didn’t really know where to start with our wedding ceremony but we knew we wanted a relaxed and personal one. We couldn’t of asked for a better person to deliver this and marry us. I loved the idea of writing the ceremony ourselves although a little daunting, Tim was always available to help when needed. All my guests commented on how much they loved our ceremony, the stories that were told and how personal it was. Tim was funny, welcoming and really put us at ease. He even managed to persuade the youngest ring barer a 1 and a half year old to deliver the rings to us!

Gerrie married my wife and me on the dunes at Prestwick Beach on 7th May 2021- this was a covid moved wedding and we decided in the end that getting married was most important. She worked with us every single step of the way to get the most out of our day, and took into consideration the fact that physically at the ceremony it would only be us two, herself and our photographers who were also our witnesses. Prior to the date, we all went out to the dunes to scope out the best spot – and Gerrie blessed the area with us. On the day, we zoomed the wedding out to family and friends, and so the three of us were microphoned up and ready to go.
Gerrie really went above and beyond making sure that our guests felt the love that was all around us that day, even though they couldn’t be there. She made the day truly magical. A year and a bit on, and we’re finally getting to celebrate in person with everyone! Gerrie is going to do a further blessing at our reception to bring everything together and we really cannot wait. She really is one of the family now having married my brother & sister in law, and also my cousin, as well as holding a beautiful funeral ceremony for my late mother in law. She is fabulous. Sharon recently conducted our wedding ceremony in Edinburgh. After being recommended by a friend, we were invited to meet Sharon at her house and we had a very relaxed chat over a coffee and cake! Sharon was the perfect choice of celebrant for us. She was warm, friendly, kind and professional from the outset and really helped guide us through the whole planning process.
Sharon conducted our wedding ceremony beautifully. It was modern, funny and incredibly personal – there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! She had clearly really taken on board all the information that that we had given her beforehand and she put together a lovely script for our day.
Sharon’s experience was invaluable during the planning of our wedding, offering suggestions for parts of our ceremony and she kept us well informed of her intentions for the day – always being open minded to change to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted. It was only from a friends humanist wedding that we realised it was possible to create your own unique ceremony, so after just a short research we stumbled upon Tim & knew he was who we wanted on our special day. Knowing a tree was planted for everyone he married was an easy win!
From our first contact with Tim he was professional & easy to communicate with. We had a zoom chat to meet & felt immediately at ease with working with him to understand a humanist ceremony & how we could weave our own story into it.
He set us a wonderful homework task that helped us get creative but also allowed us to reflect on our relationship & why we wanted to get married that helped form the perfect ceremony for us.
It was fun for all involved, & when the wedding day came we felt prepared, confident & ready to enjoy the most gorgeous ceremony.
All of our guests had huge praise for Tim, the comedic value was exactly what we wanted & we can’t thank him enough for standing in the cold winds as we were desperate to have an outdoor wedding.

I don’t know where to begin and I cannot recommend Tim highly enough. We have been to a few weddings that Tim has carried out the ceremony for and knew that we loved how well he always came across. Tim seems to make every wedding personal and the way he speaks about each couple shows how much he gets to know each and everyone one. After having to postpone our day Tim couldn’t have been more accommodating and understanding and made the process of rescheduling with him very stress free and simple.
In the lead up to the wedding Tim kept in touch, sending us emails about how best to go about writing our ceremony, checking in to see we were ok with things and giving us lots of tips/ideas of how we could write it. Drafts went back and forward and Tim would always give us sound advice but he wasn’t forceful with this, which helped to keep our ceremony very personal to us.
On the day of our wedding Tim was very informative, he kept my husband calm and made sure he was clear about how the ceremony would proceed. We have two small children and Tim was very relaxed about them coming in and out of the ceremony and wondering around. He made us both feel at ease and relaxed, neither of us ended up feeling nervous. The ceremony was funny, touching and well delivered, Tim was adding in comments about what was happening on the day. It was honestly perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more from a celebrant. Everyone has commented both on the day and after about how lovely our ceremony was and how fantastic Tim was.
We both cannot thank Tim enough for everything you done in the lead up and on the day our wedding, if we could do it all again we would and we would always have you as our celebrant.
