In 2016, Gordon Nicolson founded the Edinburgh Kiltmakers Academy to help address the shortage of skilled kiltmakers and secure the future of traditional hand-sewn kiltmaking. Today, the Academy continues to train the next generation of kiltmakers, ensuring these specialist skills and Scotland’s rich kiltmaking heritage continue to thrive.
