Keiron Weston from Renfrew is one half of our former ‘I do’ diary couple Amber and Keiron, who tied the knot at Boclair House Hotel, Glasgow on 30th October last year.
The wedding was always set to be a family affair, with loved ones involved in all aspects of the day (including the couple’s daughter, Daisy-May, who was flower girl).
The couple also featured on our Let’s Talk Weddings podcast series.
When it came to choosing who to have by his side as best man, Keiron was in no doubt it would be his dad, John.
“I’ve got a small circle of friends and two best mates – and I would class my dad as my third best mate,” he tells us.
“He’s done a lot for me over my life and we’re pretty close.
“We go to the football nearly every weekend and I’m constantly over at his watching football, so it just felt like the right decision.”
John was involved in planning their stag trip to Liverpool and was up for wearing matching camel gold coloured velvet blazers with a black lapels on the day.
Kieron purchased a card from Etsy to ask John to be best man: “He first asked ‘can I be your best man’? and I said ‘I don’t see why not!’
“I think he was pretty chuffed.”
