Dreamy wedding day decor | Beachy blues

Pratis Barns’ Shed space was the setting once again for our beachy blues theme, though this time the tablescape was set up against the backdrop of one white-washed wall.

Roni and Cait of All Wrapped Up Events Scotland teamed up with Helen of The Greenshed Flower Studio to create this gorgeous look.

“We paired a white and an ivory chiffon runner with a ruched baby blue one to give the impression of waves and sea foam,” says Roni.

“Helen added gorgeous driftwood, fab flowers and a nautical lantern and we finished the centre of the table with an assortment of our cut glass candle holders.

We had dusty blue, pale blue and ivory taper candles to keep the theme of the colours of the sea.”

The table was finished with chunky seagrass placemats, gorgeous Coach crockery, and a dusty blue napkin held in a rattan ring.

“I interpreted aspects of the theme very literally!” says Helen.

So much so that she foraged driftwood and seaweed as the base for the table centre, complementing it with vase arrangements and freestanding florals in the wood itself.

Flowers included larkspur, gypsophila, lisianthus, quicksand rose, nigella, grasses, anemone, hellebore, muscari and campanula.

And Helen created another arrangement based on driftwood to adorn the peacock chair.

“I kept things delicate with the flowers to contrast with the solid-ness of the wood and to make everything feel light,” she adds.

“Just as I’d imagine flowers foraged from the seashore to feel. If you love this look, ask your florist for wildflower inspired vases with tall grasses in pastel colours, leading with blues.”
