“Beach weddings aren’t the most obvious choice in Scotland, so when they work out like this, they feel extra special. Kirstin and Alan had a small, intimate wedding at Crear, one of my all-time favourite wedding venues, on the far west coast of Scotland. Both writers, they’re a deeply creative couple which came across in every element of their wedding, especially in the iconic outfit choices, which really help to set this photo off against the backdrop of the unmistakable Paps of Jura.”
“It was a lovely crisp winter’s day at Drumtochty Castle, Aberdeenshire, and I had taken Gemma and Nick to nearby Cairn O’ Mount for some photos with the gorgeous moors in the background when out of nowhere a snowstorm came at us! There was nothing we could do but embrace it and it was wild! We all loved it, though – well, for a short time, as it was freezing! I love the unpredictable nature of the weather in Scotland, always keeping things interesting!”

“This image was taken in March 2024 at Sligachan, Isle of Skye, with the snowy peaks of the Cullin mountain acting as the perfect backdrop. Quinn and Lewis officially tied the knot two days before in Fort William, surrounded by close family and friends. Two days later, we met on Skye for an adventure session. We started at Sligachan where the couple exchanged their personal vows to each other. It was cold – very cold – but you’d never know it from the pictures. We went for a relaxed walk following their vows, which is when this moment was captured. I love this image as it really shows how I love to work… amongst the wilderness with relaxed and adventurous couples. I don’t want couples to look at the camera. For me, that breaks the intimacy of the moment. It’s not about me, it’s about them and their story.”
“Having originally planned a large wedding, when Covid restrictions kicked in the plans hit the skids. During the pandemic Ashley and David travelled around Scotland when allowed and fell in love with Camusdarach Beach. So, they started to plan an intimate waterfront wedding. The only hiccup was the date was November and there was no viable plan B. Scotland served up its typical weather and it poured all morning, but 10 minutes before the ceremony the clouds parted, blue sky appeared, and Ashley and David had the most amazing beach wedding. White sands, blue water and solation with peace and serenity. After, we
managed some photos on the waterfront and headed back to the cars before the heavens opened.”

”I love photographing in Scotland because of its incredible variety. The stunning landscapes create breathtaking backdrops, while the beautiful architecture of cities like Glasgow adds unique character. ”Golden hour is my jam! I adore a sunset backdrop on a wedding day. This image from Cat and Iain’s wedding at Kinkell Byre isn’t one of my typical golden light shots but it sticks in my memory for that exact reason. Had it been a cloudless sunset we wouldn’t have ventured as far as we did to get this shot, and we probably wouldn’t be able to see as much of St Andrews in the background of the image. Cat and Iain wanted some time away from their wedding party, and I was obsessed with capturing the amazing connection this couple had together. The light was by no means perfect, but this shot is one of my faves.”
