Take inspiration from these beautiful blooms, jaw-dropping cakes and stunning stationery from our shoot at Cluny Castle, Sauchen.
You’ll find this stunning styled photoshoot in the pages of the January 24 issue of Your Scottish Wedding and call us biased, but it was an instant fave.
It’s also the shoot that nearly didn’t happen, thanks to Storm Babet making an appearance the day after.
But we got there with our amazing team of talented wedding suppliers, who pulled off three awesome looks in different spaces of the castle which we’re sharing on the website now.
First up, it’s all about the colour!
Colour pops
Nestled against the bay window of Cluny Castle’s Tenants’ Hall, Carla Castagnola of Moss & Blossom Floral Studio, set up this beautiful tablescape underneath suspended fluffy fern flower clouds.
Indoor wedding receptions are typically held in the Tenants’ Hall and our creative suppliers allowed their imaginations to run wild for three themes across this
impressive space.
“These floral arrangements feel like a wild garden gone crazy,” says Carla.
“They recreate the effortless charm of nature with a unique blend of orange tulips, calming lavender, sweet peas and soft pink garden roses, all with a bold and
stunning colour palette!”
She employed Ikebana pin frogs to support different heights and falling elements in the arrangements and Starca Designs provided the beautiful ‘Pastel Meadow’ stationery for this look.
All the tables, chairs, the peacock chair, linen, easels, cutlery, glassware, tableware, candlesticks and candles throughout this shoot were provided by All Wrapped Up Events Scotland.

Carla’s tablescape provided the perfectly whimsical setting for cakes by The Kilted Cake Company and Crumbdidilyumptious.
For her showstopping five-tier cake (pictured below) Alison McCabe from The Kilted Cake Company says the white background of the cake along with a single colour block tier allows all of your beautiful design features to really stand out.
She says, “Incorporating colour and texture through the use of florals and rice paper allow for great depth and movement in any classic cake design.”
Kerrie Gourlay from Crumbdidilyumptious created this stunning pale yellow four-tier cake with a beautiful variety of handcrafted sugar flowers and foliage (below).
From delicate stamens to feather-light petals these blooms are amazing!
