Celebrate People is a multi-belief organisation based on humanist values. We conduct ceremonies as well as providing support and counselling. Our highly trained and experienced celebrants represent our humanist values of love, kindness, equality, compassion, inclusion and respect. We believe that you two are central and will support you to make sure that your ceremony reflects and expresses what is important to you, your lives, your culture.
We can provide excellent Spanish, French and Italian speaking celebrants to make sure everyone is included.
We simply want you to feel cared for and supported to express your love and commitment in the way that means most to you in that special moment. You may celebrate with family and friends or run away just the two of you. Whatever you choose we are there to help you have your perfect ceremony.
We are there for you from the moment you start to think about what you want for your ceremony all the way through to you leaving for the rest of your celebrations. For most that includes making sure all the legal details are taken care of in the right way and in the right place. If you need guidance on what to include on your ceremony, we are there with many ideas and support to help you choose the best words and elements for you both.
All of our celebrants are brilliant at listening and helping as little or as much as you need them to put what is you want to say into words. For some couples this is easy, others less so. Wherever you fall on that scale we will support you in your ceremony development in preparation for the main event. Symbols and customs can strengthen what you want to say and all of us can include handfasting, drinking from the quaich, sand ceremony and many more.

Gerrie Conducted 0ur wedding ceremony over a week ago now, it was exactly how we had wanted, authentic to us and full of compassion. We are a mixed couple and Gerrie embraced both sides of our cultures and both families were truly happy. Gerrie was flexible and kind throughout the process which helped us stay calm and connected.

What can we say about Tina? Tina is brilliant! If you’re looking for a celebrant, stop looking. You’ve found the one! She’s absolutely amazing. She is full of all the right qualities for the role. She is kind, understanding, professional, funny and full of ideas. If you’re struggling with what to do on the day as there are so many options she helps narrow down the ideas without pushing an agenda. She gets to know the couple and then helps them plan the perfect ceremony for them. In our experience Tina was helpful every step of the way.
On the wedding day she was organised, and even helped walk out little flower girl down the aisle as she was feeling nervous.

Even before the wedding Tina met and called with us as many times as we needed to make sure the script for the ceremony was how we wanted it. Making sure to get every little detail right in a way that seemed natural and light hearted. Nothing about the process with Tina was stressful which is ideal when nearly every other part of wedding planning can be. If you’re looking for a celebrant Tina is your best option!
We went with Libby McArthur to be our wedding celebrant and it’s one of the best decisions we made in the entire planning process. Right from the beginning, Libby was a dream. So positive, reliable, helpful and joyous to talk to. Libby managed to craft a beautiful ceremony from our notes and thoughts (which could be scatterbrained!), while bringing her own magic to the day. She also knew how to strike the exact tone we wanted, help make it unique to us, and even helped calm our nerves when things felt overwhelming. In the end, we had a beautiful wedding that was filled with laughter, happy tears and a relaxed vibe, whilst still feeling special. All our friends and family commented on how wonderful Libby was, and we can’t thank her enough. Would highly recommend her to anyone and we would certainly use her again for future celebrations.
Gerrie Douglass-Scott was our celebrant at our wedding yesterday and she was fantastic, she brought good energy and she was comforting. She conducted our service in Spanish and in English which ment we could personalise every single bit of our ceremony. There was not a dry eye in the room, so loving and emotional. Many of our guests complimented how wonderful she is and it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever attended.
In order to be transparent we do know Libby personally. Because of that we already knew how fabulous she is. But honestly Libby could not have done any more to take the stress out of pulling together the ceremony. She managed to take our random thoughts and turn them into a beautiful ceremony with just the right tone. We wanted it to be a celebration of our love together in front of family and friends. There was laughter, there was tears, and there were whoops of delight from everyone. It was full of joy and participation from the audience which is exactly what we wanted. She explained everything that we had to do legally and made sure we did it! We would not hesitate to use Libby again for other celebrations as we don’t plan to get married again!
