About this business
Celebrate People is a multi-belief organisation based on humanist values. We conduct ceremonies as well as providing support and counselling. Our highly trained and experienced celebrants represent our humanist values of love, kindness, equality, compassion, inclusion and respect. We believe that you two are central and will support you to make sure that your ceremony reflects and expresses what is important to you, your lives, your culture.
We can provide excellent Spanish, French and Italian speaking celebrants to make sure everyone is included.
We simply want you to feel cared for and supported to express your love and commitment in the way that means most to you in that special moment. You may celebrate with family and friends or run away just the two of you. Whatever you choose we are there to help you have your perfect ceremony.
We are there for you from the moment you start to think about what you want for your ceremony all the way through to you leaving for the rest of your celebrations. For most that includes making sure all the legal details are taken care of in the right way and in the right place. If you need guidance on what to include on your ceremony, we are there with many ideas and support to help you choose the best words and elements for you both.
All of our celebrants are brilliant at listening and helping as little or as much as you need them to put what is you want to say into words. For some couples this is easy, others less so. Wherever you fall on that scale we will support you in your ceremony development in preparation for the main event. Symbols and customs can strengthen what you want to say and all of us can include handfasting, drinking from the quaich, sand ceremony and many more.

We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding. From the very beginning, Gerrie made us feel completely at ease and guided us through the process with warmth, professionalism and genuine care.
As a bilingual couple, it was important to us that both English and Spanish were included in the ceremony. Gerrie created a ceremony that felt natural, personal and inclusive, and many of our guests commented afterwards on how beautiful and meaningful it was.

Well what can we say, Libby’s wedding ceremony she delivered on our big day was just perfect. We worked with Libby ahead of the day to decide what we wanted our ceremony to look like – relaxed and fun. Libby gave us tonnes of information and examples of previous ceremonies she had done which was super helpful. Libby was brilliant at helping us find the right words to say and made sure we included all the bits that were important to us.
The ceremony was just perfect, it was exactly what we wanted and loads of our guests have said it was the best ceremony they had ever seen. There were plenty laughs, emotional moments and Libby was also great at making light and interacting with some enthusiastic wee ones!
Libby, thank you for everything, we would recommend you to anyone looking for a celebrant for their wedding!

From the very first phone call, when we asked Graham if he would conduct our wedding ceremony, he was nothing short of amazing. From the beginning, he put us completely at ease. As a couple, we were feeling quite emotional in the lead-up to our wedding day and neither of us are particularly confident speaking in front of a crowd, but Graham made the whole process feel relaxed and enjoyable.
Through our many chats, Graham took the time to really get to know us as a couple. He helped us choose readings, guided us through the ceremony, and gave us the confidence to make it truly our own. With his support, we both wrote our own vows, which made the ceremony incredibly personal and meaningful.
The ceremony itself was everything we could have hoped for and more. We received so many compliments from our family and friends afterwards about how beautiful, personal, and genuine it felt. That is a true reflection of the time, care, and effort Graham put into getting to know us.
