Mirka Jankowska, the award-winning talent behind Fife-based Mirka Bridal Couture, says she was born holding a needle and thread, and with over 30 years’ experience designing exquisite dresses her passion for what she does is undeniable.
Mirka took on her first evening dress commission at the age of just 16 and designed her first wedding dress when she was 26.
From there her career in bridal has flourished and she’s been making brides feel incredible ever since.
Mirka spent years creating beautiful bespoke dresses before striking out and designing her very own Mirka Bridal Couture collections.
Instantly recognisable, her designs focus on feminine silhouettes with a slight bohemian edge and have a strong emphasis on sustainability, employing recycled fabrics where possible.
What’s more, many of the dresses include optional sleeves to heighten their impact or give the bride the option to switch up their look, throughout their wedding day.
Alongside creating the Mirka Bridal Couture collections, Mirka still loves to design totally bespoke dresses for her brides, taking their ideas to create the dress of their dreams.
