Turnberry had always been Skye’s dream venue. The sweeping sea views, grand ballroom and statement chandelier delivered the scale she had imagined since she was young. And her vision was clear – all white. A winter wedding that felt like stepping inside freshly fallen snow.

The ballroom became a sea of white florals, candlelight and soft texture, with Scotland’s winter scenes visible beyond the windows. One extra special detail had pride of place among the grandeur – a media screen honouring Skye’s late grandad, whose presence was felt throughout the day. Behind the scenes, Skye’s mother Kathleen acted as planner, confidante and calm anchor.

John kept things classic in a black three-piece suit, finished with his father’s tie – a simple but meaningful detail. Skye’s gown was designed to embody the winter wonderland theme. A structured corseted bodice, intricate lace and a full satin skirt created a regal silhouette, while a cape added softness and movement. “It flowed like falling snow, adding drama without overpowering the gown. It was almost cinematic as I walked,” she explains.

A crystal crown completed the look, paired with a long veil for full drama. “I wanted to feel elegant, confident and unforgettable, and I did.” Keeping it real, though, she slipped on white ASICS trainers for dancing later on.

Choosing the bridal party was one of the most meaningful parts of the wedding for Skye and she styled them in keeping with the theme, down to their elegant capes. Both mothers embraced the aesthetic, tying the look together beautifully.
